My question is regarding bath tub drainage. My tub wasn't draining properly so I removed the drain and the flange around the opening. The PVC pipe running from the tub drain to the sewer was NOT connected to anything! Is this normal? All I had was an elbow connected to about 3 inches of staight pipe that wasn't connected to anything from there. I don't want to have to remove the tub, but will if this needs to connect to the main drain or something.
