I went to help out a little old lady the other day who explained her water pressure would drop real low before "coming back up" to normal, whereas in the past she hardly noticed a difference in the "constant" pressure... She said first thing in the morning, the pressure was up fine, but in a matter of no time it would drop after running a lawn sprinkler, and stay down the rest of the day...
She has a well with a pressure tank.
I bled off some air from the tank, and no water came out. So I gave both screws on her pressure switch about one full turn, which seemed to fix the problem for a couple of days... but now it's back.
Should I replace the pressure switch, which is probably about twenty years old?
